This important information regarding a visit to a SignatureCare Emergency Center. You were recently contacted by a Patient Advocate to explain the billing process and answer any billing questions you may have about your visit.

You will be receiving an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance carrier. Please do not be alarmed… this is not a bill. This is a statement that explains how your medical and/or services were processed by your insurance.

You do not owe anything until you receive a statement from the billing office. If there is any patient responsibility, it will be for your copay, deductible and/or coinsurance only. Please see the definitions below:

• Copay: A fixed amount you pay for a covered healthcare service
• Deductible: An annual fixed amount you owe before the insurance carrier begins to pay for a covered healthcare service
• Coinsurance: The amount you pay (for example 20%) for a covered healthcare service after you have paid your deductible.

SignatureCare Emergency Center does not balance bill; however, if needed billing options and online payments are available. If you have any questions regarding this information or your account, please feel free to contact the Patient Advocate/Billing Team at (832) 699-3777 option 1.
